As some of you might know, my mothers cancer is back for a third time, it has spread to her brain again causing her to be paralyzed from the waist down, this has caused other complications as an obstruction on her intestines and a kidney infection.
My mom has no insurance because she was unemployed due to the accident in which she was hit by a car, and is only being treated because of el seguro popular (popular insurance) which is a state subsided insurance program for people with no other options, as expected the service is overcrowded and deficient.
I have no degree and only hold an entry level job with which i cover all my expenses living by myself, my mothers family are mostly taking care of all the costs of having her hospitalized out of the state, while thankfully so far the treatment has not had a cost, some medicines are not covered by the program and accessories like especial pillows so she doesnt get sores all over he body due to the lack of movement, someone has to be with her 24/7, at the moment my cousin and uncle are with her but they need to cover the costs for food, transportation and housing while she is there, I need to cover the costs of transportation and lodging to visit her as soon as possible before is to late to even say goodbye.
